Real events,booked automatically.
Scales, sensors, scanners and machines connected to your ERP, CRM, warehouse system or any other software. Every reading is booked automatically, without anyone retyping it, and where needed we build the automation on the hardware side too.

- No more retyping
- Weights, scans and readings flow straight into your systems, without anyone keying them in.
- Any hardware, any system
- From a weighbridge in the yard to a scanner in the warehouse, linked to whatever software runs your business.
- Traceable to the source
- Every booking links back to the reading behind it, with its time and device, so any figure can be checked.
The problem
Your devices measure, your people retype
A weighbridge weighs a truck, a scanner reads a label, a sensor takes a reading. That data belongs in your ERP, CRM or warehouse system, but without a connection someone notes it down and types it in. Your systems are then only as current and accurate as that step.
Common symptoms
Weights, scans and readings are written down or exported, then typed in by hand
Boxes are labelled by hand, which is slow and easy to get wrong
A booking cannot easily be traced back to the measurement behind it
What this costs you
Staff time goes into copying figures instead of checking them
A typing error or a missed weighing carries through into stock, invoicing and reporting
Decisions rest on figures that lag behind what happens on the floor
How the connection works
Your hardware, connected both ways
Data flows from the hardware into your systems and, where the process needs it, from your systems back to the hardware. Every connection is built for the devices and software you run, standard or custom.
Every device connected
Focus
Scales, scanners, sensors, label machines and controllers are connected directly or through an edge device or gateway and, where useful, registered in Azure IoT Hub so you can monitor and update them remotely.
Key outputs
Connected devices, a device registry and remote management per site.
Readings booked where they belong
Focus
Each reading is checked against agreed rules and booked where it belongs: a goods receipt in the ERP, a stock movement in the warehouse system or a record in any other system.
Key outputs
Booking rules, a mapping to your systems and handling for exceptions.
Hardware driven by your systems
Focus
Your systems can also instruct the hardware, or we automate a manual step outright. For example, we built a label machine that labels every box, so staff can trace each one by scanning.
Key outputs
Automation on the hardware side, including machines we build ourselves where needed.
Capabilities
What we deliver
The building blocks behind every connection. In the design phase we agree which ones your process needs.
On-site scoping
We see the hardware and the process in person, so the connection fits how the work is really done.
Any kind of hardware
Scales, weighbridges, scanners, sensors and controllers, standard or custom-built, connected directly or through a gateway and managed remotely.
Any business system
ERP, CRM, warehouse system or other software, standard or custom-built. Where no standard connector exists, we build one ourselves.
Automation on the hardware side
Where a step is still done by hand, we automate the hardware itself, such as a machine that applies labels to boxes.
IoT edge devices
Edge devices that collect and process data at the machine itself. The same technology runs our separate predictive maintenance product, which measures vibrations on machines.
A record of every reading
Each reading stored with its time, device and booking reference, usually in PostgreSQL, so every booking can be traced to its source.
Where it creates value
Who benefits most
Practical value for the teams that carry the most complexity.
Operations and logistics
Teams at the weighbridge, goods intake or production line who now record measurements by hand.
- Weighings and readings booked without retyping
- Staff check exceptions instead of copying figures
- Intake and stock figures that match what was actually weighed or measured
Warehouse
Warehouse teams who need every box labelled and traceable wherever it goes.
- Labels applied automatically
- Every box traceable by scanning
- Scans booked straight into the warehouse system
Finance and control
Controllers who need stock, purchasing and invoicing to rest on measured quantities.
- Stock values and invoices based on the measured quantity
- Every booking traceable to its device and time
- No separate spreadsheet to reconcile
IT and system owners
Teams who own your business systems and want a connection that is documented and easy to support.
- Integration logic built with SolvX templates and CI/CD
- A connection to any system, standard or custom
- Handover documents your team can work from
Multi-site operations
Managers responsible for several sites, lines or intake points, each with their own hardware.
- One way of connecting hardware across every site
- Devices monitored and updated remotely
- The same booking rules at every location
Less relevant if...
Signs that another route will serve you better.
- Your device supplier already offers a working connector to your system
- There are only a handful of readings a day that someone can easily key in
- Your data comes from documents rather than devices: see Document Automation
- You need a full move from an old system to a new one: see Internal Data Migration
How it works
A practical delivery approach
Every engagement follows a clear path from diagnosis to delivery and handover.
Scope
We visit the site, see how the hardware is used and how its data reaches your systems today, and agree with operations and IT what each reading must update.
Agreed scope, a hardware inventory and booking rules, with a fixed price for the next phase.Design
We design how each device connects, where the logic runs, which interface updates each system and, where needed, how your systems drive the hardware.
An architecture design, the mapping to your systems and a test plan.Build and test
We connect the hardware, build the integration and any automation on the hardware side, and test every booking against the readings the devices produced.
A working connection in a test environment, with test results per booking rule.Acceptance
You sign off against the checks set in scoping: readings booked in the right place, the hardware working as intended and exceptions handled. Anything not yet right is fixed before go-live.
Sign-off against the scoping checks and a planned go-live.Hypercare and handover
After go-live, the experts who built the connection stay on hand to resolve issues. We then hand over the documentation, and device management can continue under Managed Services.
Handover documents, a runbook and, if you want it, an SLA for ongoing support.
Proof & trust
Results that speak for themselves
No more retyping
Weights, scans and readings flow straight into your systems, without anyone keying them in.
Any hardware, any system
From a weighbridge in the yard to a scanner in the warehouse, linked to whatever software runs your business.
Traceable to the source
Every booking links back to the reading behind it, with its time and device, so any figure can be checked.
The hardware side automated too
Manual steps on the floor, such as labelling boxes, taken over by hardware we automate or build ourselves.
A usable result every phase
Each phase ends with something your team can use: live results, a demo and handover documents.
Knowledge stays with you
Handover documents, plus training and pairing where your team will run the connection, so the knowledge stays in house.
In practice
What it looks like when it works
Representative results from engagements across our client base.
Context
A client that weighs every incoming and outgoing truck on a weighbridge. Each weight has to end up in the ERP.
Challenge
The weighbridge was not linked to the ERP, so every weight had to be entered there by hand. Each truck meant another entry, and another chance of a typing error.
Solution
We connected the weighbridge to the ERP and built the logic that adds each weight to it automatically, for trucks coming in and going out. Nobody has to key in a weight any more.
Results
Weighbridge linked to the ERP
Each truck weight is added to the ERP automatically.
Inbound and outbound
The weights of both incoming and outgoing trucks reach the ERP.
No weights keyed in
The manual step between weighbridge and ERP is gone.
Context
A client whose boxes each need a label, so that warehouse staff can trace every box by scanning it.
Solution
We automated the labelling and built the label machine ourselves. It sticks a label on every box, so no box is labelled by hand any more and each one is ready to be scanned and traced.
Results
Label machine built by SolvX
A machine of our own making that labels every box.
Labelling automated
Labels go on the boxes without manual work.
Boxes traceable by scan
Employees trace each box through the warehouse by scanning it.
Frequently asked questions
Your questions, answered
Practically any hardware that produces or needs data: scales and weighbridges, scanners, sensors, label machines, controllers and other machines, standard or custom-built. On site, we check how each device delivers its data, directly or through a gateway. Our separate predictive maintenance product, with IoT edge devices that measure vibrations on machines, builds on the same expertise.
Any system you run: an ERP, a CRM, a warehouse system or other business software, standard or custom-built. The connection books through the interface your system offers, and where no standard connector exists, we build one. We confirm the interface and the access needed during scoping, before you commit to the build.
Yes, where the process calls for it: data then also flows from your systems to the hardware. And where a step on the floor is still manual, we can automate the hardware itself. For one client we built a label machine that puts a label on every box, so warehouse staff can trace each box by scanning it.
Access to the site and the hardware for scoping, someone from operations who knows the process, a system owner who can arrange a test environment and access, and people who can confirm what each reading must update.
In fixed-price phases, agreed after scoping, each ending with live results, a demo and handover documents. Extra advice outside a phase is billed by the hour. After hypercare, device management and support can continue under Managed Services, as an SLA. Azure usage runs on your own Microsoft bill.
You own your data, your client-specific code and the documentation. SolvX keeps the rights to its generic building blocks; the contract sets out the details. The connection runs in your own Azure environment, and each phase ends with handover documents that describe what was built.
Every booking rule is tested at row level: the bookings in your systems are compared with the readings the hardware produced. Readings that break a rule are not booked silently but flagged for someone to check. Before go-live, you sign off against the checks agreed in scoping.
When your device supplier already offers a working connector to your system, or when there are only a handful of readings a day that someone can easily key in. When your data comes from documents rather than devices, look at Document Automation. And for a full move from an old system to a new one, see Internal Data Migration.
